The Lost Mines is the first main floor of The Lost Floors. It can be accessed by using one of the elevators in the Lost Mines section of the Lobby, or by creating or joining an elevator while being in said section.
Overview
The Lost Mines consists of mining caves and an underground office.
At the start of each run, players may purchase items at the Pre-Run Shop with Rose Gold Coins while in the elevator. If every player closes the Pre-Run Shop, they can finish the elevator ride early.
Players will have to make their way through various randomly generated rooms each separated by numbered doors in the corridor. Every player's goal is to reach Door 200 in order to reach the elevator and successfully escape to The Lost Floors.

Upon gaining access to the trains, the players will jump into one and start it. Figure, noticing what's happening, bangs against the barrier in a last attempt to catch the players, but failing, while the train goes away.

Entities
Main article: Entities
Entities are unnatural beings that inhabit The Lost Mines. Most of them pose as roadblocks and threats to hinder players’ progress and usually attempt to kill or damage them in whatever ways they can.
See their respective pages for more information.
Main Entities
- Moonlight - A helpful entity that guides players throughout their journey. If players die, it will provide tips on how to survive the entity that killed them most of the time. Guiding Light also highlights important items and objects (such as levers and doors) after a certain amount of time has passed in a room.
- Figure - The main antagonist of The Lost Mines. It is completely blind, and thus relies on sounds and vibrations to locate players in both The Warehouse and The Train Station. It is also the entity responsible for the players' entrance to The Lost Mines.
- Seek - Appears twice to chase down players.
Recurring Entities
- Felk - Flickers the lights before rushing through several rooms up to an unopened correctly labelled door and opens it, breaking all the lights in the process and making the room a dark room. All nearby players that aren't hiding will die instantly.
- Hunger - A more elusive entity, which has a rare chance to replace Felk without flickering the lights, rather being announced by a loud sound. It is quicker and rebounds through the rooms 2-12 times to catch players off-guard without breaking the lights.
- Hunt - Signals its apparition by highlighting the player's screen with a blue haze before slowly approaching them from the void. If it reach a player that isn't hiding or climbing a ladder, Hunt will kill them instantly, otherwise it will teleport back into the void and repaet its attack until the next room is opened.
- Bouge - Signals his presence by darkening the player's screen with a red outline (which appears at the rate of a heartbeat). The next room will always be Bouge's room. When attacking, Bouge will dash from one hallway to the one in front of him repeatedly, indicating its path by flickering one of the four lights on the ceiling. Any player in Bouge's path will take 30 damage.
- Eyes - Appears randomly upon entering a room, and are signified by a distinct sound effect and a bright purple glow. The entity deals rapid damage if stared and can teleport after a few seconds.
- Screech - Can spawn in any dark rooms and reveals its presence with a “Psst!” and a slight screen shake. Players must look around in order to spot the entity and counteract the attack, otherwise it will deal 40 damage to them.
- Dupe - Poses as a door with a number label, but the number is always out of order and wrong. Players must not enter the wrong door, or Dupe will attack them, dealing 40 damage. A fake door may be identified by listening for growls or scratching sounds near the door and the wrong door number.
Miscellaneous Entities
- Hide - An unseen entity which becomes aggravated if a player hides for too long in a closet, after which it will push them out, damaging them. Players will be unable to hide again for a few seconds.
- Jack - Rarely appears behind doors to jumpscare players.
- Void - Attacks players that are lagging too far back from the rest of the team when in a multiplayer elevator. It will teleport them back to their team but deals a random amount of damage in the process.
- Rush - Can rarely replace Felk, but behaves the same.
- El Goblino - A friendly entity that players can chat with at door 147.
- Starlight - Lights up the entrance to The Attic.

Trivia
- The Mines is an actual floor in DOORS.
- During the initial release of The Lost Mines, completing the game triggered a different cutscene: when players activate the train, Figure tries to stop it but gets crushed and dies; the camera then showed the top of the station before changing to the attic entrance door (if The Attic wasn't completed).
- Starlight will have 3 different cutscenes after the Train Station cutscene:
- When you beat the game;
- When you beat the game with The Attic completed;
- When you beat the game with 3 hacked computers.
- Unlike in DOORS where beating a main floor will take you to the next one (if there is one after), beating The Lost Mines won't have an option to continue your run to The Lost Floors.
- kujyssisi, the owner of The Lost Floors, said The Lost Mines would no longer receive updates, as its code is different from the one used for The Lost Floors.
- This ended up being false, as kujyssisi gave permissions to someone else to keep The Lost Mines up to date.
