Figure

Figure is a boss entity in The Lost Floors and the main antagonist of The Lost Mines. It serves as the boss of The Warehouse and The Train Station in The Lost Mines; and as the boss of The Basement section of The Lost Floors.

Appearance

The *Figure'*s design is a towering humanoid entity with a red fleshy texture. It has a spherical head, lacking any facial features except for a wide, circular mouth filled with 19 randomly aligned teeth. It has a skinny body with a bone-like structure around its chest resembling a ribcage, glowing blisters on its head, and a vein on the top of its head. Its mouth emits light.

Behavior

The Figure is a blind entity and cannot see players, but its sense of hearing is heightened to the point of perceiving any footsteps they make and even their heartbeats if it is close enough.

When not chasing a player, the Figure will patrol along preset paths. While doing so, it makes heavy footsteps audible across the room, though as it gets closer to a player those footsteps become louder to them. The Figure may take alternate routes in its patrol path.audible across the room, though as it gets closer to a player those footsteps become louder to them. The Figure may take alternate routes in its patrol path, stay in place for a few seconds, or emit a low growl before turning around.

If the Figure is pursuing a player hiding in a closet, it will stop and examine the closet with a swaying animation. During this animation, it will not react to any sounds made by other players or entities. If the player enters a nearby closet, the Figure's heartbeat mini-game will be activated. If the player leaves while the Figure is examining the closet, either voluntarily or by being kicked out by the Figure, the Figure will instantly kill them. After the animation ends, the Figure returns to its passive state and the player can safely exit the closet.

A crucifix can be used on Figure, but it will not fully banish him, only stun him for a few seconds. There's no achievements related to that.

The Warehouse (door 150)

When door 150 is opened, a cutscene plays in which Figure drops from the ceiling and begins walking towards the players after hearing them enter the room. A noise will then be heard (probably caused by Guiding Light) and Figure will stop mid-walk to go check on the source of the noise running before wandering in the room. Figure cannot hear players picking up the circuit breaker switches, but can go into the crane room if players move without crouching in the room.

The Train Station (door 200)

Upon opening the office door, Figure will enter the room from a different path, break the glass, and begin wandering around. Like in The Warehouse, he cannot hear players doing essential things to progress unless they are crouching while moving to collect circuit breakers. The only time Figure notices anything is happening is in the game's final cutscene: Figure will punch the fence as the train pulls away (before the update, Figure would run onto the tracks and get hit by the train, presumably killing him).

Trivia

The figure after the cast scene follows the path where the first 4 switches are located, the rest are at the dashboard.

Only 6 switches are needed to open the gate.

The I'm Everywhere achievement is a reference to the I'm Everywhere modifier from the Doors game.

Bugs

There is a Bug,when the cutscenes ends Figure may turn into a T-pose (in the warehouse) and it cannot move.

There is a mistake: after walking for a few seconds, the Figure may stick to the cabinet with your hand, but this can be fixed by making the Figure act on you.

The figure can pass through an open gate if it hears a sound, probably a mistake.
