Its boss is an [Infected Grumble](\u002Fwiki\u002Finfected-grumble).\n\n## Overview\n\nThe Canal is located in an outdoor environment, probably in a forest, judging by the trees that appear in some rooms. Most of the rooms contain water-filled holes, suggesting a sewer-like system. Falling into these holes results in death. In most rooms, pipes are positioned along the walls, serving as hiding spots.\n\nHalfway through the section, players will come across a room featuring a plank that acts as a bridge. As they cross it, they will slip and end up hanging from the plank, before dropping down into [The Electrical Room](\u002Fwiki\u002Fthe-electrical-room). There, they will have to activate 4 panels which require 3 codes to be activated while avoiding the Infected Grumble that patrols the area. Once all the panels have been activated, a door will open, leading to the upper part of the room, where the next numbered door is located.\n\nEventually, the players will arrive in an indoor room. At the back is the room to access the next section.\n\n## Trivia\n\n-   The Canal is one of the two sections of The Lost Floors that takes place outdoors, the other being [The Snowy Garden](\u002Fwiki\u002Fthe-snowy-garden).\n-   The Canal is one of only two sections (not counting the [mid-run shops](\u002Fwiki\u002Fsection-changing-room) that can appear randomly) to feature a shop, run by [Jeff](\u002Fwiki\u002Fjeff).
