They are used to store items for use in future runs.

## Appearances

### Moonlight Rift

The *Moonlight Rift*, also referred to as "[Guiding Light](/wiki/moonlight)'s Rift", appears as a bluish white portal surrounded in blue cracks and appears to be pulling in blue triangular particles.

### Starlight Rift

The *Starlight Rift*, also known as "[Curious Light](/wiki/starlight)'s Rift", appears as a yellowish white portal that is surrounded in yellow cracks and appears to be pulling in multicoloured triangular particles.

### Usage

In [The Lost Mines](/wiki/the-lost-mines-floor), Guiding Light's *Rift* appears in [The Elevator Room](/wiki/the-elevator-room), [The Warehouse](/wiki/the-warehouse), [The Train Station](/wiki/the-train-station), and at the end of [*The Attic*](/wiki/the-attic). To store an [item](/wiki/items) into it, a player must equip one and interact with the *Rift*, which stores it in the rift. Once an item is stored in a rift, it can be retrieved by finding another rift. It is also possible to store multiple items in a single run, as there are three rifts in The Lost Mines. For example, one item can be retrieved from the Elevator Room rift, and another can be stored later using the Warehouse rift. However, only one item can be stored in the rifts at a time.

All active *Rifts* also appear in the starting room of [The Lost Floors](/wiki/the-lost-floors) and [The Factory](/wiki/the-factory), using the same functionality as the *Rifts* in The Lost Mines.

Curious Light's *Rift* only appears in [*The Attic*](/wiki/the-attic), at door 100, and its usage is drastically different from Guiding Light's *Rift*. Although there are three Curious Light Rifts, only one is usable (as the other two are floating in the sky), the one containing the Yellow [Crucifix](/wiki/crucifix) (or Curious Light Crucifix). To get this crucifix, you have to pay 100 Rose Gold Coins. Curious Light's *Rift* cannot be used to store items.

## Related [Achievements](/wiki/achievements)

| **Image** | **Name** | **Quote** | **Description** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| ![Rift Reserve](/wiki-img/Rift_Reserve.webp) | Rift Reserve | Here are my belongings! | Place an item in Rift. |

## Gallery

```gallery
![The Rift in The Elevator Room.](/wiki-img/Crucifixion_in_the_experimental_light_of_the_rift.webp)
![The Rift in The Warehouse.](/wiki-img/Warehouse_Rift.webp)
![The Rift in The Train Station.](/wiki-img/RiftTrainStation.webp)
![The Rift in the starting room of The Lost Floors.](/wiki-img/Rift_TLF_Start.webp)
```

## References",1,"2026-11-04T18:53:17.827552+00:00","Fandom import",false,1793826017827]
