They have empty eye sockets with pink glowing pupils inside them and a huge mouth covering half it's face. They seem also to be slightly crying a black liquid out of their eyes.

## Behavior

### The Lost Mines

![Hunt's jumpscare](/wiki-img/HuntJumpscare.webp "Hunt's jumpscare")

*Hunt* will initiate its disorienting attack by will highlight a player's screen with a blue haze once they open a door. A distorted "giggling" noise will be heard and Hunt will be seen slowly approaching the player from extremely far away in the void (Hunt can be seen through walls). If the player hides in a wardrobe and Hunt reaches them, Hunt will teleport back into the void and slowly approach the players again. The same goes for ladders. In order to survive *Hunt*, players must reach the next door as quick as possible.

### The Lost Floors

*Hunt* will turn on lights in The Hallow Hotel. To prevent *Hunt* from appearing, the player must destroy the lights. The more lights that are on, the faster *Hunt* will get angry. If the player doesn't destroy all the lights in time, *Hunt* will appear nearby.

If the player is reached, *Hunt* will appear on their screen while the text "ERROR" will be scrolling in the back of their screen. Then, *Hunt*'s face and the text will start flashing white before eventually killing the [player](/wiki/players).

## Trivia

- *Hunt* can be crucified by the [Crucifix](/wiki/crucifix), but only in [The Lost Mines](/wiki/the-lost-mines).
- *Hunt* have a similar mechanic with *[Haste](/wiki/haste)*, and *Hunt*'s jumpscare similar too. The differences are:
    -   *Hunt* highlights a player's screen with a blue haze while *Haste* highlights it with a red one;
    -   *Haste* appears when there's no time left, and *Hunt* can appear when the players penetrate in a new room;
    -   You can escape from Hunt by opening the door (or destroying all the lights in The Hallow Hotel), while you can escape from [Haste](/wiki/haste) by pressing a [Timer Lever](/wiki/timer-lever);
    - *Haste* appears in [The Attic](/wiki/the-attic), while *Hunt* appears in [The Lost Mines](/wiki/the-lost-mines) and [The Lost Floors](/wiki/the-lost-floors).
- Because of a bug brought by the release of *The Lost Floors*, *Hunt* now has a chance to appear in [The Attic](/wiki/the-attic).

## Related [Achievements](/wiki/achievements)

| **Image** | **Name** | **Quote** | **Description** |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| ![Make It Stop](/wiki-img/Make_It_Stop.webp) | Make it stop! | Am I crazy?! | Encounter the Hunt. |
| ![Cant Touch This](/wiki-img/Cant_Touch_This.webp) | Can’t touch this! | Leave me alone! | Crucify the Hunt. |",2,"2026-11-04T19:41:47.230334+00:00","kujyssisi",false,1793826017827]
